Wearables for museums and art exhibits, UAE
Artbeat is a concept based on wearable technology. Users would voluntarily wear a device that would allow access to information such as your heartbeat, or facial expression. A user’s reactions to the environment, the art, other people, etc. would be used to curate the rest of the museum visit, or future museum experiences for the user.
I was tasked by Key House of Creation to mock out an identity for this concept, including a teaser video and pitch deck.
artBEAT is a user tracking technology that collects various data from visitors and participants to help maximize impact. By collecting personal, public and device data, artBeat helps partners such as museums, or focus groups, capture and collect their participants’ unfiltered emotion. Accessing live data will help better customize and personalize current and future experiences for the participants.
The creative direction for Artbeat's identity needed to be simple and modern so that it fit in a technological era. Inspiration was taken from heat maps and the ability to see what identifies as warm to cool; a well-known association to human emotion.
